  • Open Minds Visual Artist: Glasgow Life (06/25 - current)

    Appointed as lead visual artist to co-develop and deliver art workshops with adult mental health groups, exploring the role of museums in supporting mental wellbeing.

    Collaborating with SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) to ensure trauma-informed and inclusive practice.

    Contributing to the creation of new museum-based mental health resources.

    Participating in mental health awareness training as part of the project’s commitment to ethical and informed engagement.

  • Research Associate: Tialt (10/23 - current)

    Providing critical friendship to arts organisations to explore and reflect on their practices, including organisations such as Manchester International Festival, V&A Dundee and Edinburgh Printmakers. The work includes, but is not limited to:

    Qualitative and quantitative research design, collection & analysis

    Writing reports to a high standard

    Evaluating arts and cultural engagement projects

    Designing and delivering co-created research programmes with a range of communities, this includes but is not limited to workshops, focus groups, creative methods such as walking interviews and alternative explorations of projects

  • Teaching Assistant: University of Stirling (09/21 - 05/22)

    Deliver a range of seminars and tutorials both online, in-person and through hybrid working sessions for first and second year undergraduate students

    Collaborate with other teaching assistants to develop responsive and reflexive ways of teaching courses

    Provide one-to-one support for students in need of extra support

  • Creative Practitioner: City of Edinburgh Council (11/21 - 03/22)

    Facilitate (plan and deliver) a series of community-based creative consultation workshops in North Edinburgh to elicit and illustrate learners’ views on how local learning provision can better respond to and reflect local needs. These consultations will inform the creation of anew learning strategy for the North West area of the City of Edinburgh.

  • Creative Learning Associate: Stellar Quines (01/19 - 02/21)

    Developed engagement programmes and creative learning opportunities based on the programme of performances created by the company as well as the organisation’s aims and ambitions

    Designed, delivered and evaluated engagement activities from one off workshops to long term projects such as the Glasgow Women’s Library group of Muslim Women Writers, Stepping Stones’ Young Mothers Group and SHE Scotland‘s groups of young women and girls in North Edinburgh

    Managed over 20 freelance facilitators and 30 project partners including but not limited to arts venues, cultural organisations, community organisations, funders and schools

    Built partnerships with organisations and communities in order to develop and deliver long term creative learning objectives, such as the creation of a ‘Young Quines’ group

    Fundraised over £150k worth of funding from several funds and grants for creative learning activities in order to embed creative learning within the organisation meaningfully and strategically

  • Artist Tutor and Mentor: Heart of Glass (02/21 - 08/21)

    Supported the development of a ‘Faculty of the North’ - engaging with emerging artists with a focus on socially engaged practices

    Currently supporting multiple emerging artists with their development through mentorship, advice sessions, open workshops and hosting multiple online discussions about artistic practices and pitfalls and providing emerging artists with a critical friend to support their practice

    Working with senior members of the Heart of Glass team to develop a long-term ‘Faculty of the North’

  • Community Development Officer: National Galleries of Scotland (04/18 - 12/19)

    Developed partnerships with community organisations, schools, City of Edinburgh Council groups, centres, government agencies and community groups within North Edinburgh

    Delivered creative ‘soft consultations’ to the North Edinburgh community about the National Collection Facility (a new development of the National Galleries which will be based in North Edinburgh)

    Developed the communities ideas for the National Collection Facility into the architects designs, e.g. the community wanting better access to food, resulting in the design of community gardens

    Planned and implemented outreach and creative learning activities within community organisations, schools, groups and more

    Created an ‘integration’ plan for the North of Edinburgh with the National Collection Facility

    Developed a programme and strategy of creative learning to be implemented within the National Collection Facility once it has opened

  • Project Manager: Edinburgh Art Festival (09/17 – 04/18)

    Delivered a variety of art workshops for a group of children (10-15yrs) from Edinburgh Young Carers exploring themes surrounding care work in partnership with Stills Gallery

    Managed a variety of freelancers and team members, from practising artists to freelance facilitators

    Maintained partnerships with galleries and organisations

    Managed the project's budget, including freelance artist payments and materials

    Provided in depth evaluation of the project for the Fawcett Society and Stills Gallery

  • Art Play Worker & Development Officer: The Zoom Club (01/17 – 03/19)

    Developed, planned and delivered a variety of workshops for children aged 0-5yrs focusing on art and sensory play

    Developed and maintained relationships with schools, toddler groups and community organisations

    Developed and delivered an outreach programme of events in schools, toddler groups and community organisations

    Managed the budget for all outreach activities, as well as the 0-5yrs group

    Created and disseminated marketing materials, in both print and digital

  • Freelance Artist: Various Organisations (06/14 - current)

    Youth arts residency awarded in 2021 in an art map making project with young women accessing support services in North Edinburgh (current)

    Provide a wide range of arts activities related to the current exhibitions and curatorial practices of the National Galleries of Scotland (NGS) and Edinburgh Art Festival

    Managed the Edinburgh Art Festival ‘creative hub’ in 2016, which involved coordinating volunteers, running daily drop in workshops and developing and delivering outreach activities to a variety of schools and community organisations

    Provide effective evaluation of workshops in order for organisations to improve their practices

    Developed long-term strategies and delivered weekly art sessions for WHALE Arts focusing on marginalised young people and children within their Street Arts project and after school art clubs
